Raw Water
Generally raw water refers to natural water sources collected in nature, including groundwater, rivers, lakes, mountain spring water, reservoir water and other natural sources, or refers to the water collected into the first treatment unit of the water treatment plant, which has not undergone any artificial purification treatment and contains a large amount of impurities and microorganisms.
For raw water intake process valves, head raw water valve is characterized by large valve diameter, no need to operate frequently, most of which need to be operated once a year or even several years. The valve is normally open or normally closed for a long time. Therefore, from the control method, more than 95% of the selection is manual valve, from the valve type are butterfly valve or gate valve. Gate valve in the head loss is better than butterfly valve, however butterfly valve in the installation, operation and economic cost is better than gate valve, especially for size larger than DN1600, it is recommended to use butterfly valve.
